As you can see from my
previous post about my retaining wall I will eventually need to replace it.
To go about replacing the retaining wall was new to me.
I first went to the local brick place Mid West Block to see what they suggested. The guy there mentioned that I should go downtown to see if the retaining wall was on my side of the property line or on the city side. So off I went to see where the property line lays. Since I am a Habitat House Homeowner I also stopped by our local Habitat Office to see if they kept a copy of where my property lines are. While I was there at the Habitat office I was given a couple of names to look up to re-do my retaining wall.
I found out that the retaining wall IS on my side of the property line. :(
That is as far as I got and was going to continue with the process after the first of the year. Next thing I knew I got a call from the local Habitat Office wanting to know if I would be interested in being the pilot project for their new "A Brush With Kindness" Program. Well needless to say they didn't have to ask me twice. I said YES ! YES ! YES ! ! !
I had an interview with the local paper and made the front page ! !
Til next time with an update ! !
So happy for you. Dang, I missed your pic in the paper.
